About Me

Hi, I’m Alexis

Meet Alexis
Christian Functional Health Practitioner and Founder of New Beginning Wellness

Let’s tell the truth.
I didn’t arrive here from a place of glow, balance, or perfect routines.
I arrived here because my body was collapsing under a life that looked successful on the outside but was slowly breaking me on the inside.

I know what it feels like to hide exhaustion behind productivity, competence, and “I’ve got it handled.”
I know what it feels like to look strong and put-together while privately unraveling.
And I know what it feels like to silently wonder, “Why can’t I keep up like everyone else?”

New Beginning Wellness exists because I lived the dark side of burnout, dysfunction, and chronic stress — and clawing my way back taught me the truth about what the body actually needs to heal.

A person lying down on a bed is smiling while a small brown dog with floppy ears is resting on them, with one paw on the person's face. The background shows a room with curtains and a lamp.

For years I lived the kind of lifestyle that gets praised in corporate spaces but destroys your health in real life.

Skipping lunch…working late..answering emails off the clock.
I was taking on more tasks than any one human should have to hold, and being the reliable one, the fast one, the one who “just gets it done.”

But behind that I was crying in the bathroom during lunch breaks.
Shaking from stress, surviving on caffeine and adrenaline, and chasing productivity because slowing down felt like failing.

Add to that years of trying to chase society’s beauty standards and productivity standards —
eating less, pushing harder, working out to earn my worth, juggling school and multiple jobs, under-nourishing myself because a smaller pants size felt like success.

My body was drowning long before it started screaming.

Then came the environmental load: mold exposure, chronic stress, and toxic chemicals from the beauty industry.
My nervous system was fried. My hormones were wrecked. My energy was gone.

At my worst, I was housebound. I was too exhausted to grocery shop. Leaving the house felt impossible at times. I was living life from the recliner.

The hardest part—my symptoms were invisible.

I’m a private person so not many people knew what I was carrying. Because of that the comments came:
“You’re lazy.”
“You’re dramatic.”
“Everyone’s tired.”
“You just need to push harder.”
“It’s all in your head.”

Every word hit me like a condemnation because I already felt like I was failing at basic life.
I couldn’t keep up with housework, social plans, friendships, or even holding myself together.
It was the darkest season of my life, and hope was nowhere to be found.

The worst of it lasted about four years, but the patterns were building for well over a decade.

My body wasn’t broken. It was overwhelmed.
It was responding exactly as designed to the conditions I was in like the stress, the pace, the chemicals, the under-eating, the over-working, the constant pressure, the spiritual depletion.

My symptoms weren’t random. They were communication. Requests for support but warnings I didn’t know how to read.

Healing began when I learned why everything was happening.

When I stopped blaming myself and started understanding the physiology behind burnout, fatigue, hormone chaos, nervous system overload, and environmental exposure.

I didn’t need to be stronger. I needed to restore function. I needed to rebuild broken systems one layer at a time.

And once I did… I got my life back. I found my clarity, my energy, my steadiness, my purpose, my relationship with God, and my identity.

I was not broken.

I just needed to understand the design — and honor it.

My Approach

I don’t do fluff, fads, or fear-based wellness.
I also don’t do shame, hustle culture, or pretending everything is fine.

My approach is built on four things:
Clarity, compassion, common sense, and real functional wellness.

I help you understand your body without fear or confusion.
We look at your stress patterns, your daily rhythms, your environment, your symptoms, and the full picture of what your body has been trying to say.

We support your energy, hormones, digestion, sleep, detox pathways, and nervous system in practical ways that make sense for your real life.

Faith is part of this work too — not because you need to be spiritually perfect, but because God designed your body with intention, intelligence, and resilience.
When you understand that design, healing becomes possible.

Why I Care

I care about the people who look strong but feel broken.
The people who push through the pain.
The people who carry shame because no one sees what they’re suffering.
The people whose symptoms are dismissed because they don’t look sick.
The people who don’t know where to start and are embarrassed to ask.

I care because I lived it.
And I know the way out.

Outside of Work

When I am not working with clients, you will often find me hiking beautiful state parks, exploring local coffee shops, or spending time with friends and family. I believe health is not just about what you eat, but also about rest, joy, laughter, and time in God’s creation.

My Faith

Your body is not random.
Your symptoms aren’t random.
Your exhaustion isn’t weakness — it’s communication.

Even when your faith is tired, God is not.
He didn’t design you for survival mode.
He designed you for rhythm, peace, clarity, and purpose.

Healing is not outside your reach.
Your body is capable.
Your spirit is resilient.
And restoration is possible.

Let’s Work Together

If you are tired of fighting your body, confused by your symptoms, or carrying shame for not being able to “push through,” I would be honored to walk with you.

You’re not weak.
You’re not broken.
You’re not failing.
You’re overwhelmed — and that can be restored.

This is your turning point.
This is your safe place.
This is your new beginning.

  • Your Body is The Temple of Holy Spirit

Scripture reminds us that our bodies are not our own they are vessels, temples of Holy Spirit, entrusted to us by God. (1 Corinthians 6:19–20) How we care for them matters not only for our personal health, but as an act of worship, obedience, and gratitude.

  • A Biblical Call to Stewardship

“Do you not know that your bodies are temples of the Holy Spirit, who is in you... You are not your own; you were bought at a price. Therefore honor God with your bodies.” – 1 Corinthians 6:19–20

We are not just physical beings. We are image-bearers, designed with purpose. Stewarding your health is part of your Kingdom calling. It enables you to serve more fully, live with energy, and glorify God in all areas of life.

  • What This Looks Like Practically

Caring for your body doesn’t have to be overwhelming or extreme. It means:
    - Nourishing your body with whole, life-giving foods
    - Honoring your body’s need for rest and movement
    - Reducing toxic exposures that damage what God designed
    - Listening when your body speaks through symptoms
    - Seeking wisdom and clarity over fear and confusion

“Beloved, I pray that you may prosper in all things and be in health, just as your soul prospers.” – 3 John 1:2

  • A Holistic, Faith-Driven Approach

In my work, I integrate Biblical truth with evidence-informed practices. I do not diagnose or treat disease. I walk beside you as a guide, helping you listen to the God-given intelligence of your body, using tools like functional lab screening, nutritional support, and faith-aligned lifestyle change.
